Paricutín northwest side

[ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Paricutín northwest side
This is the northwest side of the volcano. If you come around the lava field by horse, this is where you arrive. The prominent gully is the descent scar through the soft ash and cinders. On the lower right slope begins the standard trail up the cone on this side. Also beginning in the same area but not visible is the path to the southern vent, Boca de Lava Sur. The other vent is visible on the left.
