This is a fun one. Hiked and climbed up with Greg Jagielski and Frank Nederhand. The fixed lines came in handy on the rappels down, but for the most part we either free climbed it or used our own rope on the ascent. Stunning views from the top of Castleton Tower and the La Sal Mountains.
We hiked with my son and Duchess to the bench (right below the technical part), then I continued on the scramble solo. It was fun, not too exposed. The rain came and the rock was slick, but scramble fell comfortable. The views from the summit were amazing...

cable route
cruised the cable route with ihinger to the summit. not sure if i'd trust that rope in the crux crack!
what to make of the castle valley crop circles when viewed from the summit....

Main Summit & Crooked Arrow Spire
4/1/2011 - Fun afternoon scramble up the standard route after climbing Ancient Art in the morning. Then tacked on a hike up the nearby peak known as "The Red Hills" to round out the day.
10/19/2012 - Climbed Crooked Arrow Spire via Longbow Chimney. Sweet!
