| Climbed Parry from Mount Bancroft via the east slopes route. The climb was good, but getting chased off by approaching weather and having to walk in the rain past loads of car campers with grills and coolers made the hike out a bit long. | ||

| Nice easy hike from Bancroft. Not much snow to contend with and continued on to Eva, Flora and Witter before descending the Chinn's Lake drainage back to the Fall River TH. Highly recommended circuit. | ||

| After driving to just below the Fall River Reservoir dam (last 100 yds. still blocked by a snowbank), I climbed north from the dam. By careful routefinding I wass able to climb to Bancroft's east ridge avoiding most of the trees to timberline. Right at timberline I encountered one snowfield that was unavoidable, but was firm enough to kick steps w/o too much sinking. Once on the ridge I had a steady breeze of 20 mph in my face, but still easily made it to Bancroft's summit. The ridge traverse to Parry's summit was made easily with no major obstacles other than the summit snowcap. On the descent, I dropped about halfway back toward the saddle and then did a perfect 1,200' sitting glissade into the valley below until the slope angle leveled to the point of having to plunge-step. Finally, upon reaching the trees again I had much postholing in soft snowbanks thru the thick brush until reaching the banks of the reservoir. A very nice half day loop trip in an underappreciated area. | ||

| I climbed this peak in a long 16 mile monster hike between Berthoud Pass and Rollins Pass. It was snowing when we reached the summit and miserably cold. However it soon cleared and we had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. | ||
