| ajaysomani | Wrong starting point Date Climbed: Nov 19, 2012 | |
| Started at the tourist office around 11 a.m. as opposed to the correct trail-head. So it took me almost 2 hours just to get to the abandoned house and it didn't look like I'd finish before 5 so I turned around. | ||

| With Nevil Amos. I don't recall the details: just a lot of very limited visibility. Still, nice to get out of the city. | ||

| Near perfect weather. Climbed with my daughter and Guide Edgar. Beautiful flora all around. This peak was a perfect introduction to the Andes as well as a great first peak in terms of acclimatization....Next stop Corazon. | ||

| jm141302 | Perfect day ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 29, 2012 | |
| We went the shorter way from the north. Parked at the hydroelectric plant and went around the closed gait. We did a really fun, long scramble up to the lower peak and then hiked/scrambled to the higher one. From there we did some easy rappelling and climbing for fun. The rock is strong and knobby. The best part of the day was clinging to the side of the rock and seeing Cotopaxi emerge completely from the clouds for one brief minute. Great weather. It was almost hot on the lower summit at 11:00. No wind until the afternoon. The rain held off until our descent, around 3:30. | ||

| Socorro | Not so wonderful weather but a fun time anyway ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 10, 2011 | |
| I´m not sure we would have reached the actual summit if we hadn´t been with an Ecuadorian who knew the mountain. We started with an incredible view of Pichincha. Most of the way was a gray-sky sort of day through some wet vegetation, but the weather turned when we were closer to the summit. Pretty soon it was raining on us, and then totally hailing as we smeared on rock to the summit. Nothing to see at the top but fog. | ||

| Hiked and climbed with my new 21 british friends. Fun climb, always laughting and telling jokes. We enjoyed hanging out at the north summit. Mild weather, not too cold, not too sunny. | ||

| I guess we didn't quite follow the directions to get to the trail head correctly. We ended up at a trail with a much longer route to the top and had to turn around at about 12,500 feet as we had started quite late. However, it is a beautiful area. | ||

| Inday | Top of the World, Ma! ![]() Date Climbed: Jan 10, 2011 | |
| Not really the top of the world, I know. Straight forward and easy climb; taged both false and true summits. Note that if going by 4W or hiking, the old path has been blocked and you must now traverse all the away around to a hacienda, whose owner chargs $5 per person to continue up the road to the pathes. I do not know a work around, post one if you find one. | ||

| rgg | True and false summit ![]() Date Climbed: Dec 5, 2010 | |
| Scrambled up the true summit with Boriss, then went for the false one that we could see in the distance and that, as Boriss told me, is frequently misused by guides that take their clients towards this easier one. According to my altimeter it´s 16 m lower. | ||

| Boriss Andean | Pasochoa's true summit. ![]() Date Climbed: Dec 5, 2010 | |
| Climbed with Rob (HOL) to the true summit (4,230 m/13,878 ft). It took us 2 and a half hours to do so. We saw the second highest summit to the north of us from the summit, so we hiked and climbed that one too. | ||

| Boriss Andean | Fast climb! ![]() Date Climbed: Oct 14, 2010 | |
| Climbed with Jorg (GER), Fritz (GER), Efrain (ECU) and Rolando (ECU) in 2 hours. The trailhead at Central Hidroelectrica´s gate was locked, so we drove for 20 more minutes to The farm entrance and then to the Fullfighting ring trailhead. Awesome weather.. and great to hike with the german guys which were funny and friendly. We got back to the truck at 1:30 pm, where we shared our snacks with a friendly donkey. We finished the day in the afternoon with a delicious ginea pig... it was really yummy!!! :) | ||

| At the start of our 15-day road trip through Ecuador, we climbed the Pasochoa in 1 day, starting early in the morning from Quito. The route starting from the nature preserve visitors centre is long, but quite easy as well. Recommended trip for acclimatisation. | ||

| ncst | Beautiful forest! ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 1, 2010 | |
| I started from the visitor's centre (bosque protector route), a beautiful forest full of birds, climbed two false summits, and then the real summit (5,5 hours). Was watched by three lama's while summiting. Went down the other route to the hydroplant (that certainly is an easier route), and then got a ride to the highway. Saw nobody the whole day, to cloudy to see nearby volcanoes, but views of the valleys below. | ||
