| We used the cable car up to Patscherkofel and hiked up the last 300m of altitude difference with the hope to see at least anything. Well at the summit we saw about 50m... We intended to follow the ridge to Glungenzer in order to sleep at the hut to complete the ridge the next day, but deep snow destroyed our plans somewhere between Viggarspitze and Glungezer... | |

| it was a nice day of hiking though I like areas more with less lifts and less people. We started at Igls, denied the cablecar and climbed Viggarspitze which is the next summit to the east. On our way back we crossed Patscherkofel where we had a nice panorama though it was not very clear. If I went there again I would take the first cablecar and hike from Viggarspitze to Glungezer and Kreuzspitze. This would be a fine - and long - trip all along the ridge | |
