I might have done a FA a few weeks ago and am trying to find out some more about the peak. It was not as hard as your route but had a final pitch that was too rotten to protect and too exposed and loose for most people to scramble. FA or not, it was great but I would not want to repeat that one!
Thanks Bob! Yours sounds like a fantastic exploratory adventure too. Zion, I presume? The one you already wrote about or another one? Anyway, it's great that in our seemingly known and charted world we still have such obscure corners...

You're right about the cavers, they died in an avalanche in Italy. The cross-section of the cave you saw can be found here for those interested.
I regret not having visited the Accursed Mts. this year (again) but there's always hope for the next year... until then I resort tp reading your adventure accounts :)
