A short but steep climb from Guardsman Pass yields magnificent views and a fairly high peak. I tagged both false summits just in case, but both appear to be lower. This was to be the start of an exhausting 20-mile hike, which I have more detail on in my Tri-County Peak log. I highly recommend this peak for a good workout and great views!
Easy skin in, with fun protected trees riding out. Bilers need to respect the rules...

Sunrise on Top
Beautiful snowshoe up to Guardsman Pass. Right turn to 10,420 back down to the pass up Guardsman Peak and over to Scott Hill. Loved it.
08/24/2014: Clayton over to 10,420 and back over Clayton. Beautiful day.
12/13/2014: Along with Tri-County. Beat the storm. Great company.
12/24/2014: What a way to spend the morning on Christmas Eve. WOW
12/27/2014: Three-fer again today. 1 degree when we started. 16 degrees when we finished. BRRRR.

Climbed with Tri-County and Clayton in about 90 minutes. Back home for lunch. Beautiful day with lots of mountain bikers at Guardsman Pass.

via the west ridge from G Pass road gate, on snowshoes. I had solitude -saw nor heard any other people (not even snowmobiles!) once I got on the ridge.

Summit?Summited but didn't stop because i didn't even know this counted as a peak but easy hike to Clayton nonetheless.
