Along with Hidden Peak  Sucess!

A magical high camp above Bear Lake. Done right after Hidden Peak, then on to S. Wet before running out of time. That darn work thing! Need to go back in 2015 to pick up Wet Peak and revisit this seldom visited (I'll wager) section of the Lost River Range.

First Peak of First Solo  Sucess!

With information from a number of IdahoSummits climbing log signatories, I attempted this peak and Hidden Peak as my first ever solo outing. Was a big goal for me. It all went well except the GPS kinda went weird down low in the trees on the return. Learned to always bring a map and bear spray if you are in an area where any feature is named "Bear" thus and such.

Traverse  Sucess!

Did the standard traverse plus Warren Mountain. The ridge leading up is very gentle. Saw Mountain Goats.

Septemberfest  Sucess!

Climbed Octoberfest as the first of four peaks bagged during the IdahoSummits fall outing. On the way up we got to watch 3 bull elk cross the 10000’ basin to the southwest. We later followed Wet Creek back to the trailhead where we had great views of the gnarly north side of the peak. Trip Report

Route Climbed: Both Bear Creek Vairations Date Climbed: November 18th/2005  Sucess!

Hiked in knee deep snow to the saddle first and then to the summit. Parts of the ridgeline were wind blown but for the most part it was a slog up.

Continued on to Hidden Peak then came down through thigh deep snow through Bear Creek Lake. Overall, a long slog with snow but spectacular scenery.
