After the first big snowfall of the season, we had a good snowshoe up Eureka Gulch and above Ruby mine to the summit ridge. From there it was an easy ridge walk north to the summit. The views were great and the company was even better. We traversed the summit ridge south and descended a steep chute between Pt 9828 and Pt 9639.
We had a vigorous day of snowshoeing in good weather. On the flats, the snow was walkable without the snowshoes. Up high, we had around 18-20" of powder that started getting wet in the afternoon. Great day.
