Chair starts running at 9:30 and takes you to 11,246'. We left closer to 11 for a quick acclimatization hike and even so it was cloudy and threading thundershowers as we descended. Two days later my son got hit with rain and hail on the descent.

Ski Trip Summit
Hiked to the summit from the Imperial lift and skied down a double black. I jumped a few feet high at the summit to get to 13,000' :)

What a delightful day! Three peaks, bomber views, unbeatable weather...and back down in Breckenridge with plenty of time to enjoy lunch at the brewery. Life is good!
Started in Frisco, ran the ridge from Royal all the way to Peak 8 and then down to Breckenridge. Took the free county bus back to my car, great to have that so you can do this solo! Have actually been up here several times from the lift with various ski descents, but this was the first real "hike" I did for this summit. Also ran the ridge 9-8-7 from the Wheeler trail on July 4, 2019

Ten Mile Traverse
It looks much different than it does when ski season is in full swing.
Before the Imperial, there was once only the mighty T-Bar. Drops you off I think it was about 500 vertical feet away. Should I count it as a summit. You bet, it was as windy as, well, Breck, usually is in January...

Ten Mile Traverse
Started at Miner's Creek up the east ridge of Peak 1 and all the way across to Peak 9. Was racing storms near the end of the day. Sweet traverse!
As part of the Tenmile traverse with Jared. About 9.5 hours from Frisco down to Breck. Fun outing.

From the top of Imperial Lift, took about 6 minutes. No views at the summit, but I'll be back. Fun ride down the bowl.

Tenmile Traverse
Summited at noon, seven hours after leaving the car, as part of the Tenmile Traverse.
Also climbed on 9/19/08 with Nisa as part of the "Eightmile Traverse."
Also climbed a few dozen times from the top of the Imperial chair in winter.

Imperial to the Top (almost)
OK, so I took the Imperial lift to just below the summit, but it was still a great ride after climbing the rest of the way to the top. I loved snowboarding down that ridge with my son and getting away from the Breck crowds.
