Mt Goats
Came up the Smiley Creek side and then worked our way around to the gully. Saw 5 mountain goats from the summit. Seems it would be easier and faster to climb from Frenchman's side.

Good challenge
Made it up via sw ridge, then down chute to the east of the summit via frenchman's. Stellar oct sunny day-19 degrees at start 57 finish and windless. This is one of the most interesting peaks in the southern Sawtooths

An awesome hike and adventure this one is! I did find a tick on me afterward so maybe long sleeves and pants would be a good idea. If you like adrenaline rush and exposure, this is for you!

Lots of SnowGreat weather day- tons of snow still, got stymied 100 feet from the summit by knife edges cornices with death drops.
