Started at Champion Creek TH, climbed to the saddle on the trail, then took the ridge to Peak 10081, then over to 10181, 10041, and finally 10166. Then dropped back to the divide and took the road back to my car. Nice little loop hike.
Snowshoed up the Twin Creek trail, then traversed the three peaks (10181’, 10041’, & 10166’) north to south. Great day with a great group. Here's a trip report with photos.
Peak 10166 is also called "Pole Creek Pt." by locals.
I needed no snow-shoes or cramp-ons and made this straight forward, steep scramble up the west ridge. Not bad for December. Tremendous views and it was cold at the top, but very comfortable most of the way up. Someone left a flag at the top.
Easily accessable peak. Made it up in less than 2 hours. Took the scree field down for a speedy descent. It made for a nice afternoon climb. Didn't feel a need to hike over to Peak 10,041.
