Rode up in a rental car with 3 other peakbaggers via Peavine Road. Sighted with a level to confirm that western summit is 10 to 15 feet higher. Tagged both anyway.

WhiteInVermontHiked it  Sucess!
Date Climbed: Sep 3, 2010

I hiked this mountain on a much longer route than I probably needed to take. I went up the power line trail which was very steep. I returned down the dirt road. The view of Reno and Stead is pretty sweet. Because the hike is all on dirt roads instead of hiking trail I would recommend just driving to the top. This hike kind of annoyed me actually.

(Almost) no snow on a crystal-clear, no-wind day in January. Wouldn't necessarily do this one solo due to its urban proximity ...

Fun hike, and slightly amusing watching all of the bikes and trucks getting stuck in the snow during our descent.
