| I enjoy climbing this peak from Bird and up the west side of the mountain via a scree/snow face or via a rock rib. It offers a part of a most excellent traverse either to or from Girdwood. I climbed it all the way to California Peak then bushwacked and swam out to the trail via California Creek to Girdwood. | |

| I first climbed this peak from the west-facing gully in June 1991. I repeated that route on July 1, 2003, July 18, 2004; August 1, 2006; and July 31, 2007. I also climbed Penguin Peak from the east ridge from King Point on July 20, 2002, while traversing Penguin Ridge. The traverse of Penguin Ridge is pretty straightforward, but there is some scrambling near King Point. And I climbed Penguin Peak from Penguin Lake on July 18, 2004. That was just a scree slog. | ||

| I climbed this with my wife – it was her intro to AK peaks. There was light rain and occasional flurries up high, but it was a pretty nice day considering the time of year and location. The fall colors and light dusting of snow on nearby peaks made for great views despite overcast skies. The final ridge was a blast! | |
