I'm sorry that I haven't been able to keep up with SP lately. I know that a lot of crap has accumulated: bogus entries, repeats, empty photos, etc.

The purpose of this thread is for you to make me aware of submissions that you think are bogus, erroneous, or infringing on some sort of copyright. I know that most of offending objects have been mentioned in other threads or in e-mails to me, but I don't have the time or energy right now to pick through them.

Please just tell me the id of the object (mountain_id, photo_id, etc) or some other identifying info. Also include a short explanation of why you think the object should be deleted. Do NOT reply to other people's posts. I will decide whether or not the argument for deletion is valid. This is to be a "no nonsense" thread that I can quickly scan through.

Thanks.

Looks like some activity it taking place on the trip report - no notice of under construction or any other indication that it was not finished when I posted.

Edit - trip report post deleted due to resumed activity.

He's noting that she is the only vote on digitalis' page, and cast her vote on the same day that she created her profile, which was the day after the page was created.

But I've had friends who joined to put meager votes on my pages (not at my request), then stayed on to be contributors. Typically, they had mutual interests (sometimes were on the trip), and after I sent them the SP link, they joined and voted.

The FAQ is clear about voting on one's own material with avatars. However, it is possible his wife or significant other has voted on his TR. We should look into the matter before taking action. I was quick to figure the avatar would just be deleted, but we should wait and see.

However, if it is determined that he's padding votes, the avatar would be deleted and that would be the end of that. We'll see what happens.

EDIT: Changed my original post in order to look in on the matter.

My question is.....Avatars with little or no power....how much of a difference can they really make?

Digitalis has some mighty fine shots, hard to imagine the need for "vote padding" or even the benefit of such an action...... Confused

I rather doubt this is what has taken place....... Rolling Eyes

Some new member's probably just registered and voted on a few things under the What's new heading. Hardly cause for all these conspiracy theories. Besides, who cares anyway. It's one poxy vote .

This person doesn't seem real. It came on for one day and voted a bunch of 5's on pictures.
