14er Backpacking route

by Flyingsocks » Wed May 26, 2010 8:35 pm

Im looking to do a 3 day/2 night trip and include a 14er and hoping for some scrambling, not just a walk up.

Anybody have a good route? Second week in July. Probably wont have enough time to get down to the San Juans.

Thanks!

Snow mass peak er mountain er whatever the hell it is (both exist and a ski area)
go to snowmass lake and then do the standard route

spend a few days chilin at the lake or go clamber up hagermen or trail rider pass
you could even work it into the four passes loop

Willow Lake is unequivocally one of the most spectacular places I've ever been. Throw in Kit Carson and Challenger and you get a good dose of the sensational Sangres.
