Adams South Spur approach?

Postby Brewer » Wed Mar 17, 2010 5:50 pm

Has anybody been up the South Spur recently? Cascadeclimbers says there was a big tree down over road 80 back in January, but has no other recent info. I don't know how much snow there is up there either. Hasn't this been a weak winter, especially down in southern cascades?

I'm hoping to get up there in May, but I don't know what to expect. Anyone have any idea?

I was at the Trout Lake ranger station this morning.

They told me that the road was snow-covered about half way up. You MIGHT make it
over the snow in a 4WD.

She said - check back in April. She thought it would likely be open in early June. It might be open in May.
