I saw this article and was deeply alarmed. Not only the Dachstein glacier looks like this, but many other misused - yes, that's the word for it! - glaciers in the Alps are in this sad state as well. I find it important that I share this article (written both in German and in English) with you. Even though it was written in 2006, at least on the Dachstein, as I can personally confirm, having been up there myself, nothing has changed yet.
