These closely related pages have not evolved.
I added the same and only attached pic to all four pages as a hint, a while ago. But there seems to be no interest on the owners part (anymore).
I've edited quite a few of the same author's pages allready, and The Elves have also worked on some. It's getting boring...
So what do you do in a case like this?

You need to do more than just hint. This guy's got 4 Areas & Ranges, 64 Mountains & Rocks, 174 Routes, and a few other pages. He's obviously very busy. He probably doesn't even have time to check on his pages with any degree of regularity, let alone improve or fix any of them. Maybe there should be some sort of limit on the amount of content a member is allowed to take on.

These minor route pages should be evaluated in conjunction with their associated mountain page by the same author, which seems decent.

I wonder--Have you (politely) contacted bor and proposed, for example, that he give you co-editing rights on the routes? :)

Dow and Gangolf would not be a fan of the idea. (this is not meant to be an attack on your guys work). My point is that limiting the amount of content would create another problem, especially for the best sp contributers. With this case I wonder if the owner of the pages even knows that there is a demand in improving the pages mentioned. 8)

My point exactly. If someone is responsible for hundreds of pages they don't know when the pages need work.

That's what PM'ing and Commenting is for. When I see a page that deserves far better I usually contact the author and let them know that there should be more added. If what you suggested was implemented, we would see far less posted from the best posters of sp. But I certainly understand that sometimes people with too many pages don't update them. If the page owners with 300 or so pages never touches his pages, and someone here on sp is willing to improve them, an elf should hold the right to at least make them an admin. 8)

Exactly why I think that is a problem with sp with how page admins can steal pages. :?

Bor has contributed a lot of good content and was active as recently as three days ago, so there will be no "forced adoptions" of his pages anytime soon. If you think his pages could use some improvements, please email/PM him to talk about it.

I was just joking. I suspect Bor's first name to be indeed the same as yours, just like we have 3 or 4 Polish Jaceks amongst the Polish summitposters.
In any case I was making fun. Imagine yesterday, at 1st day of school, they called my son "Valentin". I just smiled, I'm now used to it :)

The 56 last editions of his pages (or pages he has admin or edit rights for) were done by Bob Burd, Vid Pogachnik, Gangolf Haub and myself.
I don't consider signing in as being active. He lately does not answer or react to commments, additions, corrections, Emails or PMs.

Borut, I'm not trying to be difficult, but Bor's pages look decent to me, especially ones made since SPv2. However, I am not familiar enough with the European grading systems, etc. to tell if what looks like a decent page is deficient. If there are minor corrections to be made, we can make them. If there are major issues, though, please explain them clearly or talk to Gangolf or Vid, who are probably in a better position than I am to make the call.

Bor signs in frequently enough to be considered active. That is why I am not comfortable transferring his pages to someone else. If they were obviously bad, it would be a different story. I have no idea what he does when he logs in. Obviously, it is not editing pages. But maybe he sees no need to edit them. This is why I would ask you to make the case more clearly or talk to Gangolf or Vid.

Cheers,

Bob

No primary image? Bor-ing. Ok I know, the name talk a few posts ago, but I couldn't resist because of the lack of pictures. I personally would love it if one could use my name in a sentence. :D

So how much of the pages have you edited? Perhaps at the very least you would deserve admin status considering your work goes "uncredited" because your only an editor. And we know you wouldn't snatch the pages because "the eyes of sp are upon you" if you did such a thing.

I'll try to look closely at those pages today.

My opinion: the pages are not awful, especially considering the different standards before SP2, but they could certainly benefit from pictures, maps, and information on distances.

I've given you editing privileges on all four. For the time being, that's the most I feel comfortable doing. I'll send Bor a message from elf PM and see if he responds; sometimes people respond to elf messages instead of other members with these things. If I don't hear back after a reasonable amount of time or if he's willing to give up the page, I'll transfer ownership to you so you get the credit for the work and also have the convenience of accessing the pages from your profile page.

This guy and his route pages are awful.

An example, one of 19 submitted so far today.

I'm pretty sure you really weren't implying that the above SPer is awful, just his route pages. Kinda' funny though.
