Has anyone stayed there? I'm taking an AIARE class through MAS and the location and price is right. Would you be comfortable taking your girlfriend there assuming she's OK with hostel accomodations and wants to XC ski while I'm finding simulated avalanche victims? I've heard not-the-best things about the Bear Valley Lodge.

Yes, stayed there about 6 years ago. It was very simple, but nice and cozy. I'm guessing it might get a little crowded with more than six people though. It's a nice alternative to hotels or snow caves. Though, things might have changed since then.
