Big Agnes String Ridge 2

Has anyone had any experience with this tent? I'm in the market for a new 4-season tent...and its up against the MH EV2...weight is of utmost importance and they are neck and neck...

Thanks!

String Ridge 2

alleyehave,
I've had a String Ridge 2 for almost a year now and have been very impressed. It has dealt with sustained winds on Rainier of @ 60 mph and handled them better than any other tent up there. It brings the temp up about 10-20 degrees with two guys, depending on the scenario. The vestibule is sufficient for two med size packs and cooking gear. One of its best attributes is the flexible air movement system. With the "frogeye" vents on the vestibule and the foot end vent you can really adjust internal temperature and air movement. I've never had a problem with condensation. For most situations I really prefer a double wall mountaineering tent. PM coming your way.
