Assuming it dumps 10" by Weds, any guess on whether Tioga pass would be open on Friday?

Inches of QPF moisture equates to feet, not inches in snow.

What do you think!

I misunderstood the units. I think my new ice tools will be staying on the shelf, and if I'm lucky I'll be climbing in the Valley. :(

Melor cometh!

Snow levels will be high at 9k or 10k, however above those levels it will be deep, wet, and dangerous. I'm expecting we'll be reading in the news post storm about a usual few that were oblivious to the forecast and get caught up high. But with some optimism in this Internet age, lets hope everyone stays away.

Mmmm... tasty. I love the first storm of the year!
I hope it comes in as predicted. I am doubtful but hoping it will.
I want it to be
That would be so cool.

Can it PLEASE head due east to Colorado? Not liking the way the jet stream has set up in that graphic.

So, will Tioga Pass Rd be closed indefinitely or will it reopen by next weekend?
