The local stuff you generally can pick some really nice conditions and go really light and be comfortable. Rainier or Mt Blanc might make you work a little harder for it. If you want to buy just one pair of boots for everything and several years of service buy something heavier. Hard to beat the Nepal Evo in most any condition, if it fits.
