I am looking into climbing in the At Bashi and Terskey Alatau regions of the Tien Shan in July to August. Anyone have any idea what types of conditions to expect, and what type of equipment to bring to climb some peaks in those areas? For those familiar with the Tien Shan, but not these specific areas, the area has summits up to 5000 meters. Thanks.
