the good thing about the club is they are small. you join for 25 bucks a year...well that last time I looked. Then you join in some socials and hikes or scrambles without classes. It is called networking
. It works. you may be able to hook up with one or more of them to take you on a climb and learn crevasse rescue during the trip.
Another place to stop by is NWHikers.net. Get to know the folks and go to a social. they have many, MANY climbers and very seasoned mountaineers go to the socials. If you don't want to spend ton of money and many days in a row or months in training, then start networking. Get yourself out there. Let folks know what you have done and what you can do. then tell them what you dream and want to do. It happens like that in the NW. Plus you end up gaining great partners out of it all too. A plethora of great and safe partners to choose from is a good thing. Good luck!
