The CA ones are truely fantastic- let me know if you come out sometime- I guess you are committed now- no turning back after you knock Yolo out.

certainly, mrchad. i'll make sure to drop you a line when i head out there. i make a great partner. just ask dingus! i think he has some damning video footage of me somewhere cussing like a sailor and trying to shake out some leg cramps after our little adventure up in yolo county. hahaha!

Actually I was quite kind with the camera Mike. I did not take any footage of you in 'suffer mode' on the Milktoast Highway.

I only took two very short vids that day, so I uploaded them both, unedited - thought it might give you chuckle.

First one is from the creekbed:

and the 2nd is from on the way out, just after Diggler sent Butte Rock, before we did that thrash to get back to the old mining road.

I think we were all tired by this point, but I think I detected a bit of a stagger in your gait there, mate!

ARRGGGHHHHH!

"Tired yet?"

"A little bit"

Ha! BTW- your highway is a lot easier when the creek is dry!

I agree. I'd done it again, just a couple months prior to miketx's trip, just for something to do! It was prior to the rainy season and the energy expenditure difference was very noticeable.

Been to the summit 5 or 6 times now, lost count. 6 at least, I think.

No need to resume. My original comment wasn't to you in the first place, but you succeeded in trolling me. Shame on me.

You trolled yourself. My original response to your 'what would climbers do' question was twofold and neither was antagonistic in any way, nor were they offered in that vein.

I gave you a story.... that took place on Temple 'Crag,' a 13,000 foot Sierra peak with no easy ways up. The discussion took place after a Grade V rock climb. We had many miles to go before we, I mean I, slept.

But the chief was particularly perplexed by that post, so I offered the 2nd one by way of easier translation (but it was from the same example as the prior post) and the quote was exactly what I said to Kevin, a climber.

You took it personally.

I laughed.

That's all there will ever be to it.

Yeah in the first vid Matt comments he's having fun! We hadn't hit the shit yet of course, but those guys Diggler and Matt, what MACHINES eh? Smiling right to the end, what great attitudes. Been trying to hook up with Diggler ever since, to do some rock climbing. But so far my spring and summer work scheduled has really hampered my planning abilities.

Oh well, beats unemployment.

Cheers man

Nah. Your climbing log is irrelevant. But the experience behind the accomplishments will out, whether you list em or not.

There are really only a few people on this whole site who get upset when someone observes their near complete lack of experience. Chuckles.

DMT

True. I say don't worry about your climbing log. But whatever you do, make sure your having fun and enjoy it! I stopped adding stuff to my climbing log because I started enjoying the satisfied feeling of completing a task. Only a few people care about the logs, and the ones who do...well, PNP is gone so I cant fully express myself about them. 8)

If that hike makes you miss CA then you are going to truely flip out once you do something else here.
