I spent a night with some friends on the summit of Ear Mountain (8,560 ft.) west of Choteau Montana. The light in the evening and early morning was fantastic for photography. We pretty much did a planned bivouac and carried sleeping bags and gear to the summit. We were blessed with a full moon, clear skies, warm temperatures and, most importantly, no wind.
