I flew my paraglider from Walt's point (Horseshoe Meadows road) to Bishop last week and there are a lot of snow back there. It looks like winter, not summer. Got to 14.5K feet at one point, view was spectacular. Here is a video:
Impressive. Anyone ever think the Sierra seems like a high plateau except for the glacial carves valleys and peaks? It seems from the air the massive high fault-block range takes on the appearance of a long plateau.
