great lesson- when you fall while soloing, you just bounce and get right back up. just like a video game.

Maybe having the actual line not covered in ropes would aid in the solo of it. Having a camera watching you the whole time might cloud ones judgment as well... Guy was f'ing lucky. Glad he came out of it OK.

Was weird that they didn't yank the TR if they were taking the time to film it from multiple angles. Unbelievable that he walked away from that.

He broke his fall by grabbing the ropes, yes?

Kind of hard to call it a free solo then.

Glad he's ok, bad LZ there...

Wow. There's not much to add to rgold's observation, although I'm sure we'll talk about this will for a while. That guy did come disturbingly close to cracking his head open.

Wow, that was wild. That reminds me of a friend I was soloing with, he only fell 15ft. And was knocked out for a few min. This was huge though and he walked away from it!

Lieberman survived a free soloing fall that makes that video look tame.

He recovered from serious injuries and climbs like a champ today.

man i hate (most!) Pennsylvanians, if they aren't chipping and gluing holds or grid bolting choss, they pull stupid shit like this. I stick to the un-bolted semi-choss of Jersey when ever possible!

I have also posted my opinion on rc.com. But here I'll cut it shorter.

The was impulsive, the climb was impromtu. He didn't plan it, he just jumped on the rock and up he went. He had no reason to try the stunt.

Of all his weaknesses, all his shortcomings and mistakes, this one factor brands him as stupid.

Stupid ass Shit like this is the main reason I am doing lots of fishing these days.

Wild Brown Trout are far smarter than this moron. It's nice to spend time in their environment.

Stupid ass Humans like the one in the video, are beginning to really scar me.

What a Dumbass...

Jeff flew off the "Planet Of The Apes Wall" a few years back...... on a Sunday am. Witnessed by about 60 folks, a few of them still climb to this day.

Every now and then somebody will see him and walk over and say...... "So your still alive? I was there, good to see you"

He was a goner for sure, I guess if you don't die instantly from blunt force trauma, you can hang in there for a while....... They got that Helo in there really quickly and had him in UCLA with in an hour.

He was really broken up...... he is all fixxed up now, only took about 8 years. +

Another living legend right here on SP.

Good to climb with ya bro....
