by faber17 » Sun Mar 05, 2017 10:40 am

Just wanted to know how steep the bergschund is upon Huayana Potosi and how technical a climb it is to cross it? What is the steepest gradient upon the normal route as well

Not sure how much help I can be but since no one has responded.

I climbed Huayna Potosi in 2012 on normal route and it wasn't very steep at all. There were only two parts that stood out, one halfway up where you had to climb up only about 2m and walk across a small exposed section over a crevasse, and then near the summit similar again having to climb up maybe a 4m section to get to the summit ridge.

Was only two small sections that were easy to climb up with just an axe.
