Independence and University Peak - Snow?

Postby SierraSummits » Thu Jun 28, 2012 2:16 am

I'm heading up to Onion valley tomorrow and planning on hitting University and Independence peaks ... anyone know if there's snow still hanging around? Ice axe / crampons needed? I'll be keeping it class 3/4 as this is a solo trip. If all goes well I'll hit the Dragon Peak to Gould traverse as well.

Obviously route-dependent, but I doubt you will hit too much snow to deter you on Univ/Indy.
