MemBrain Strata vs. Event

Postby Pallando » Wed Nov 11, 2009 7:47 pm

I'm in the market for a new hardshell. For the longest time, I've been looking for a good deal on an eVent jacket, and I've got a few options, but I'll likely go with the Montane Super Fly. However, I keep reading about Marmot's new membrane with people claiming about its excellent breathability. These jackets are only a year old, and I wouldn't be quick to believe the hype, especially when compared to a tried-and-true breather like eVent. But for about half the price and the same weight, I think it's worth it to see if these claims are unfounded or not. Has anyone had any real proof to MemMrain's breathability? I'm ordering my jacket within a week, and if I had to choose right now, I'd probably play it safe with eVent.
