Sounds good. I'll shoot for 9 at the camp site. I have a 2.5 hour drive so give or take 10 minutes.

Excellent. I look forward to meeting everyone!

Anyone who has a rope, TR anchors and (lots of) webbing - bring it. We'll set up as many TRs as we can.

The weather's looking good for Saturday. I'll try to make it to the CMC campground by 9am. I already have a parking sticker. I'll bring two ropes, some webbing, and the rack.

Yes, the weather forecast does look good this weekend; 77/57 partly coudly. It could be 100 degrees this time of year!

For those who haven't been there before, the CMC campground has an outhouse but no running water. Be sure to bring a couple of gallons with you for drinking/cooking.

Also, the town of Baraboo is just a few miles down the road for gas/groceries/beer.

Thanks to everyone who made it out to the first ever SP Midwest Gathering...!

Six of us from SP and a couple people from the CMC climbed together at Poisen Ivy Wall at Devil's Lake on Saturday. Holsti and his wife looked for us during the day, but they were unable to find us. They came back to the campground later in the evening. Unfortunately, the other SPers were either still climbing or had left by the time they showed up.

You guys should have stayed over. We had another fun day of climbing on Sunday.

It was fun weekend and I enjoyed meeting everyone!

It was fun visiting with Alpinist and other members of the CMC. We had a good time hiking and biking at Devils Lake. My wife and I will be back there on September 20.

Yeah, definitely would have liked to stay over on Saturday but it simply wasn't in the cards. I probably should have left earlier, I guess my daughter was pretty crabby during the day and mom needed a break.

Definitely a good time. Glad I was able to meet a few of you. Next year I will do my best to make it for the entire weekend.

Thanks to all who helped organize. Sorry I didn't get to meet everyone; we were screwing around up on the bluffs later than we expected. Hopefully the September trip is even more successful.

Many thanks to all of you who helped this newbie learn the ropes. I really enjoyed our day and like outofstep, I will plan to stay longer next time. Alpinist, thanks for your advance planning and directions as well as the cold beer at the end of the day. I'll be heading back there in the fall. Also, looking for partners for a day trip to Starved Rock. ???
