Does anyone have any info. on sheer cliffs or bluffs ranging from 250-500 ft? Also how accessible would they be? Im new to the area and was super curious. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Did you want to climb them or just look at them...?

If you are talking about climbing, Diablo Canyon on the edge of Santa Fe is a great crag this time of year. Nice setting, they have used it for several movie sets I guess.

The Sandias just east of Albuquerque have the largest concentration of cliffs in New Mexico.

You might try Questa Dome. It needs an SP page.

And Hermit Peak, Brazos, and Organ Mountains.

But the Sandias are so accessible...

Since you're in Cruces, the Organ Mountains are your nearest spot. You could also check out places like Cookes' Peak and the Gila Wilderness in the southwestern part of the state: not exactly Yosemite valley, but plenty of cragginess to be had. Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas, just south of the NM border, would be another place well worth checking out. Further north, in addition to all the places already mentioned, there are Cabezon Peak, the Rio Puerco volcanic necks, Shiprock, and any number of mesas and enscarpments.

I spent some time in the Gila 4 years ago and ever since I have wondered why the area was not more popular with climbers. The West and Middle Fork Canyons have easy approaches and they have an unlimited number of crags, cliffs, and pinnacles to climb. I scrambled around them for days and the rock seemed great to me.
