New Zealand in October

by atavist » Tue Nov 22, 2011 8:52 am

I'm looking to make a trip to New Zealand in early summer 2012 (Sep/Oct). How much more difficult is Mount Cook in late October compared to prime season? Besides mountaineering, is October a good time of year to enjoy New Zealand's outdoors (warming temps, sunny weather) at mid altitudes?

I'm planning to go there in January 2012 and I would accept the companion of experienced climber.

Keep an eye on this site for weather forecasts. Should help with your planning.

(You can choose other mountains in the drop down menu at right).
