He loved the mountains and was on his own journey into Alpine climbing. Never someone to rashly take risk, to act without considering and preparing, I knew him as always kind and considerate. We talked about hiking and climbing occasionally, but talk about work ...

They told me that climbing in Thailand can be annoying because ...

Clark Jacobs RIP

For the many in Southern California who knew Clark Jacobs and/or benefited from his many years of Joshua Tree and Tahquitz Rock guiding, I'm so sorry to have to report this.
Clark died two days ago from complications of 15 year battle with blood cancer and (very recent) Covid.
Clark was one of the nicest, friendliest, happy and competent teachers of the climbing art, one could ever find. The hundreds and maybe thousands of newcomers ...

A total of 7,634 ascents of my stairs at home during all the UK Lockdowns etc. So, to make sure, I've had to go back to Everest from Olympus Mons that I am currently climbing, to add one more stair ascent to make sure I can ...

′′ After 3 weeks of acclimation, a point on an expedition where you're often ′′ safe ", my insides were invaded by an army of hostile bacteria. Spent a week expelling diarrhea from an incredibly dark green, the first three days I was extremely feverish and weak. Unfortunately, this all started when I was 5200 m ...
