Had it again today while out ice climbing, so annoying, I know it only lasts for a maximum of 5 minutes but what a long and painful 5 minutes, how do YOU cope with hotaches ? :?
For anyone that spends 5+ days in cold mountain conditions, what sort of pack do you use and how do you pack?
I have a Mountain Hardware Direttissima and Gregory Shasta . Even with my Gregory bag it's tough to fit everything I need:
North Face Mountain 25
REI Kilo Expedition -20 bag
Mess kit/stove
Food
Crampons
Axe
Ground cover
Socks/underwear
Sleeping pad
2nd pair of lighter boots
No, I'm not talking about everyone's favorite yuppie apparel, but the German film 'Nordwand', about the Hinterstoissier-Kurtz-Angerer-Rainer attempt on the Eiger Nordwand, that was released last year.
It's retitled 'North Face' and will be shown in select theaters across the US. I'm stoked! Should be better than '2012' (last film I watched :( ).
