If deception, you'll have to give him/her credit for a job well done!

I'm afraid a lot of us have been played. Checking Azzy's IP address just now, I found one matching...

...Mel Torino's.

You never even got close to fooling me Bobby. I think Azzy is for real and even though I called foul with the Torino suggestion; after reading on my take is that Azzy is either a top quality troll who deserves a good pat on the back or the real deal.

I too am itching to find out...

If he's a troll, he went above and beyond by sending PM's out requesting advice on Shasta from individual SPers. That's hard core.

So not a word from azzy since he left and he's not logged into Summitpost as well. At this point I doubt he made it very far given the heat he was taking from many here in advance of the trip. My guess is we'd have heard from him by now if he had even got close to the summit.

Still no word? Is anybody starting to get worried? Who wants to bet he didn't even attempt it? I think he went and just checked it out.

I just looked at the title of this thread and said to myself, "This will have a million responses."

He still hasn't even logged into SP since the day he left. I'm not worried, but I sure would like to hear the story or lack thereof.

Yep, definitely a troll. The guy made a account 2.5 years in advance, started other threads,

I climbed Shasta a few weeks ago with an "Izzy" . . . (not the infamous Izzy we know and love, but) . . . like," Izzy actually thinking of climbing shasta in those?"

He was decked out in Cabela, with a pair of shoddy leather Durango work boots. Had to rent him all the gear and he preferred holding the axe from the wrong end . . . a snowball took him out, when everyone yelled "snowball, duck" . . . he looked up, probably thinking a mallard was flying by.
