Great pics! I was up there Thursday and got caught in a pretty intense hailstorm, with thunder and lighting. Being up there while in the storm sure made me feel small. Its always eerie feeling the electricity in the air. Good times!

Thanks Garfimi. I'll bet it was spooky up there in those conditions. Had a similar experience back in 1992 on the Cottonwood Ridge, thunder and lightning everywhere. My mullet I had back then was standing straight up.

Thanks, it was pretty incredible up there. It was a nice change from all the dry dusty trails/terrain encountered over the last two months, the haze was minimal also. Just got done uploading a bunch from the trip up there.

Got the TT done via Broads Today. Hit up Dromedary first from the Dromedary/Sunrise saddle area. Forgot how fun of a traverse this is. Like last weeks ridge traverse, it's been a while. Was surprised to see two local SP members signed the Sunrise summit register just last week. Cool stuff.











9.5 hours roundtrip ( ), first time up Broads Fork. Fun day, decent weather, slightly windy up there. I saw no one until heading back down Broads Fork by the Beaver Pond. The colors are starting up!

Cool area up there! All those ascents are pretty impressive Matthew, really enjoyed reading your register entries. This traverse I feel is a Wasatch Classic.

Like you said on the TR, the evenings are coming fast now. I was up near Hayden Peak yesterday on a bike and the evening caught me off guard. I was huffing and puffing to make to back to the car with some daylight. Crazy to think the mountains are blazed in gorgeous color now, and in one day they will be blanketed in snow.

Anyone see those clouds part around 9am down here in Utah Valley. Timp was lookin' good! Only about 6 inches or so, but just to see the snow return is exciting! I'm ready for some good 'ol skiing and winter climbing.

I'm interested in the ice climb on the East Face of Robert's Horn. I was just up there Sunday looking at the colors. You can see a big streak of water coming down the cliff bands from the summit ridge down the entire east face. I think it's called Timpanogos Couloir, or something like that in the Utah Ice Climbing book. Should be an awesome climb when it's frozen and fat. Keep in touch on this one as conditions improve. I'm should there would be a group interested in this route. Probably Brenton, Brian, Glenn, Daniel, etc.

White-Red-White-Red done today. Though some may like these pics for the current snowpack conditions up there, like Marauders states, roughly 6" on average, mainly on the north aspect up higher. Down lower in White and Red Pine area expect a muddy slush fest.

Fun stuff, though the slight snowpack made the boulder hopping very interesting descending White Baldy down to upper Red Pine Lake. Looks like we need a Fall Mountaineering Thread now.

AWESOME pics! I love the snow speckled against the rock and fall colors. Especially the second photo where you can see Timp and down to Silver Lake Reservoir area. I gotta get up there one more time before the snowpack. Thanks for the motivation.
