This is a special note for Paulo's lovely wife Lilianne. Wishing you serenity and fight strength as you help Paulo fight this battle. You have a tough job - keep your chin up and stay strong!

Paulo, you're a great guy and an important member here. We are all hoping the best for you.

Paulo, I don't know you personally, but from what I have seen of you on here, you come off as an exceptionally strong and gifted climber. There are simply no doubts in my mind that you will be able to climb up and over this obstacle. This is the biggest, meanest, most dangerous mountain you will ever have the chance to climb... I suggest doing what the most insane mountaineers do in face of such adversaries: smile and rejoice! Sure, it's cold, dark, and painful right now... The summit is in the clouds and the morale is low. But deep down, you know what you have to do. You have to stay strong, and keep climbing. Keep fighting through the elements and the summit will come into view. And when it does, this whole fucking slog will be all worth it.

Stay strong Paulo, you've been in more immediate dangers and kept your head cool, I know you can do this! I truthfully wish you the best and I look forward to seeing your next trip report.

Take care

Hello folks!!!

Thank you all for the lovely messages. I won't be able to answer each one of them so don't be mad at me please hehehe

I did the surgery for the placement of the "port a cath". Hell this thing hurt, post op hurt quite a bit. But everything is okay and in a few hours I'll recieve the first round of chemo. The strongest of all I'm gonna take (seven straight days of chemo!!!), to try to kill the cancer faster.

My case now is myelodysplasia syndrome, which in one or two days will establish itself as a acute myeloid leukemia. A pretty bad motherfucker, but I'll beat this thing in no time.

once again, thank you all for the messages, Windsor, thank you very much for the thread...At that moment, you were my voice.

I don't know when I'll be able to write here again...

Wish me luck!

Cheers

Parofes

PS: Glad to see Roberto back on track here at SP and already with a POTW!!!
