I've got a permit to go over Bishop Pass in a week or so. Anybody have a snow report? Also, how easy is it to ford the Middle Fork of the Kings down in LeConte Canyon?

I'm not sure what "over" means, but many friends have been there in the last few weeks on backpacking trips, and saw rather little snow. There is a FaceBook page for Sierra conditions, and the responses there are timely

Two very short snow crossings near the pass as of a week ago. One of which was being shoveled as we crossed it (maybe for the horses).

The staff at the Rainbow Pack Station informed me today they have shoveled out the trail to the top of the Pass and stock animals are going over
