Yes, but maybe not more than you have. I believe you mentioned once that you talked to Mike Kelsey before. I assume you already have his book? If not, I can help you with the info.

I have Michael's book but I have it back home. In Canada at the moment. I didn't think about ''The Kelsey Option''

I believe there are some volcanoes in the Kunlun that are above 5000m.

Thanks a lot for this info.
I had no clue about this and the info will bring a dramatic change to the whole list.
Not only on my little SP page, but elsewhere as well.
On every list I've ever seen about the Volcanic Seven Summits, Damavand has been the peak to climb in Asia. When I had climbed it in -99, I was congratulated by an Iranian climber saying; You have just climbed Asia's highest volcano - congratulations.

I have to look deeper into this when back home.
It's almost unbelievable no one has included these peaks on any V7S list before.

It has lots of completely erronous information, so I better be careful about anything that's stated on the page.
Look at this page.
Aconcagua is given at 7021m and the list of the highest volcanoes on earth is very much off the mark etc.

Nowadays you can't even trust the Smithsonian Institute.

I made it up the summit of Giluwe in Sept 2008. I'll set up a "Mt Giluwe" page on Summit Post, with pics, GPS tracks and waypoints, and a trip report.

I've bagged 4 of the 7 volcanic summits now - strange as it may seem, Giluwe was the hardest so far (!) Actually, it was 'physically' difficult because the 'logistics' were so difficult - but I'll save that story for the trip report
