Dear climbers:
I learned that the mobile communication will be possilbe aournd Muztagh ata area soon, for the goverment is puting up the transmitting station along Korakoram highway.Since this June you may use mobiles.

Muztagh ata BC and the mountain area around it will be possible too.Before the climbers have to bring a satellite phone,but is very expensive. It is much cheaper to use Chinese mobiles.
It will be very convenient for climbers to contact the outside mountain. Before people had send a letter or go to Karakul Lake to make a call.The message was very bad and you had to try many times to get it through and the voice was not clear.
