I did not find any english guide books about this region which are listed in Germany.

Which information do you need about Grossglockner? I think we will find every answer to your questions.

Hi Sebastian

Thanks for the help. I'm looking for topos, route descriptions and that sort of thing. Ridges and north face routes as well as the normal route... A map would also be good. I guess most of that info is on the (very good) SP page, but I'm old fashioned and like to see things on paper too!

Just come across this on the forum. I have an English language guidebook:-

Glockner Region by Eric Roberts. West Col Alpine Guides dated 1976. SBN 901516 81 3

This almost certainly out of print now but it confirms that there is an English guide out there.

..I found one. Mine just covers easy snow routes in the Eastern Alps, but it's a good start for someone (me) who has never climbed in austria before
