Climbing around Shimshal this summer, approx 1 month, mostly unclimbed peaks between 6000 and 6500m. Grade-wise probably nothing more than an Alpine D. At the moment there's 3 of us, give or take 1. There are also plans for climbing along the Hispar glacier for a further month. If you think you might be interested get in contact.

I have not much positive to say about ATP at all.
There are many better alternatives.

You could also check out Shams Alpine then. It's run by a Shimshali by the name of Qudrat Ali who has climbed Broad Peak, Nanga Parbat and GI and GII and is a very professional outfit. Main problem with the area you're heading is getting sufficient number of porters so a good sadar with experience is often the most important factor. Lee

The experience with ATP is a long story and I'm not so keen on blasting them online. Perhaps I would if I was confronted with questions about specific issues, but this is a long story and I would have to write a lot to explain the whole thing.

I have sent another climber interested in the same thing an email and I will dig it up and forward it to you.

Basically anyone else if you ask me.

Personally I'd recommend anyone thinking of climbing in Pakistan to broaden there horizens beyond the Baltoro area as there are so many other areas equally attractive that are so much cheaper right now with 10% royalties, no liaison officer and no restricted zone permit (and therefore no trekking company requirement). The Hispar Muztgah, The Batura Muztagh, and the Rakaposhi-Haramosh Mountains for example....
