Ecuador Gear Question

by Haliku » Fri May 11, 2007 10:10 pm

We are using the huts on each mountain during our trip in July. Is it safe to take a 15 degree down sleeping bag or is a zero needed? Cheers!

In the huts, a 15 degree bag is more than enough.

That is what I used. Was plenty warm. 15 degree down was the way to go!
edit- I absolutley loved Ecuador and will go back some day! Have fun, be safe, but enjoy the mountians- the glaciers are dissapearing quick.

:D Thanks to all for the confirmation. I suspected 15 would work but I feel better checking. I'm really looking forward to this adventure; its been too many years since I was last in South America. Cheers!
