Rhyang

by Dragger » Sun Aug 19, 2007 6:28 am

Hello all,

It is with great sadness that I have to report that Rob ("Rhyang") was in a very bad car accident last Thursday night while driving to go climbing. We visited him today (Saturday) at the hospital and he is pretty banged up but is in stable condition. I know Rob has many friends and acquaintances here at SummitPost and he wanted me to explain his absence. (I believe he also had arranged to meet someone from SP in Tuolumne Meadows on Friday to climb -- obviously he was unable to contact that person.) Please join me in sending positive thoughts his direction during a very dark time.

If you are a friend of Rob's and would like more information, please go ahead and send me a PM.

Carolyn

Thanks for posting this Carolyn. I had heard about his car wreck but hadn't got word yet on what happened after he arrived at the hospital.

Please give Rob my very best and let him know I'll keep him in my prayers. I shall look forward to a day I can tie into a rope and share a climb with him. Until then we can all hang tight at his side keeping him on a spiritual belay with our brake hands holding on to him tightly for his whole climb ahead.

Here's praying for a speedy recovery. Also, where is he? I could probably stop and wish him well in person.

Don't know you Bro....but then there is only about three degrees of separation between all of us anyway.
The climbing community is small but tight!
I too send positive vibes your way.
Speedy recovery to you man.

You are on Belay.
