Swiss Guides

by Global_09 » Mon Feb 18, 2008 3:15 pm

I am looking for an inexpensive guide in Zermatt or Chamonix, Switzerland. I am working in Europe this summer and would like a guide to take me up Lyskamm o0r one of the walls in the Chamonix Valley area. I believe it takes two days to do Lyskamm and I have been quoted 1000 swiss francs.

Does any body know of armature, aspiring, or private guides in Switzerland that charge cheaper rates?

Many thanks,

To my knowledge, guides in Europe have to be certified to be legally working and insured. The rates are set by the guide's union to protect all (including the client).
