Aconcagua North Face Route

by JanVanGenk » Sat Nov 15, 2008 1:22 pm

This is a part of the mountain between the normal route and the Polish Glacier. There's very little information about the route. I only have Secor's book ("Aconcagua: A Climbing Guide") which says:

This route was first climbed from the Berlin shelter on January 27, 1986, by Claudio Schranz. ... Schranz said that this route is not technically difficult, but route-finding among the pinnacles and gullies was a problem.

Does anybody have more information about this route? Conditions? Minimum necessary climbing gear? Does anybody have a good photo shot of the face?

Thanks,
