Getting caught up on Montana new submissions: here are two peaks submitted during February:

Lost Peak

Greathouse Peak

Both of which are in the (also a new page) Big Snowy Mountains Range.

The Salish Range

by FlatheadNative » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:50 pm

The Salish Range was just added. Please take some time and read about one of NW Montana's lesser known mountain ranges.

I am hoping to add some better mountain photos IF winter EVER gets over!

The link is: <a href=http://www.summitpost.org/view_object.php?object_id=501549>Salish Range (MT)</a>

Happy climbing in 2009!

The Apgar Range inside of Glacier National Park has just been added to SummitPost.

I have attached it to saintgrizzly's Glacier National Park Page as a related item since there is no specific area for ranges in a general area and did not want to have it designated as a mountain.

And look Vernon a url link!

Pilot Knob

by FlatheadNative » Sun Apr 05, 2009 2:37 am

Finally 2 sunny days in the Flathead Valley! The snow is melting and the creeks are rising.

I just added Pilot Knob to the Salish Mountain page. Not much of a climb but there are nice views.

On April 6 Blacktail Mountain was added. It is the 4th tallest mountain in the Salish Range. Great views and a drive up approach. Make it more difficult by running or mountain biking up the 14 mile long road from Lakeside.

Kerr Mountain

by FlatheadNative » Fri Apr 24, 2009 6:21 am

I just added another mountain to the Salish Range. It is located near Lakeside, Montana. A great little warm up climb with great potential for scrambling on the southwest cliffs in the summer.

Kerr Mountain

Thanks for checking it out.

Happy Climbing and Cheers!
